Techniques for Improving Your Balance
Good balance is an important part of everyday life as we:
• Put pants on one leg at a time
•Step in and out of the shower or tub
•Put boots on while standing on one leg
•Catch ourselves as we slip on the ice
•Prevent injury related falls
Balance can fade with age, inactivity and poor postural habits. To prevent a loss of balance there are strategies and activities that can improve it at any age.
In this workshop participants will work on…
•Developing a deep understanding of how posture affects balance and participate in techniques that support consistent improvement in posture.
•Specific Yoga poses that help improve balance and strength.
•Understanding how mental focus improves balance and receive tips for improved focus.
